There are a number of good restaurants and public houses in the town and surrounding area, including ‘take-away’ and ‘Fish & Chip’ shops.

There are two Indian Restaurants, including the “Mohuna” tel: 01747 835341 on the B3092 from Mere. The restaurant is on the left hand side at Peacemarsh on the outskirts of the town.

There is also The Kings Arms Inn to the West of Gillingham at East Stour tel: 01747 838325.

With regard to nightlife there is Legends Nightclub located in the Brickfields Business Park.
